OUG INTRODUCTION
OPNML User's Guide Introduction
Welcome to the OPNML User's Guide. This web document describes
the software tools used for exploring coastal circulation using
the Dartmouth/Thayer School series of Finite Element Method
shallow-water models, Fundy and Quoddy. This includes mesh generation,
model use, and post-processing. Much of this information is described
elsewhere and references to such work will be exploited. OPNML's
principle contribution to the community of users of the Fundy and Quoddy
series of models (hereafter refered to as QUG, see below) is in two areas:
-
the maintenance of lagrangian particle-tracking codes as a tool for
visualizing model velocity fields,
-
the development of MATLAB routines
for the plotting of domains and vector fields, the contouring of scalar fields,
and the plotting of lagrangian drogue paths.
